I'm looking for an easy veggie burger recipe…?

Saturday, May 28th, 2011

I’m just looking for a good way to make a veggie burger…I like them but the processed ones don’t taste good to me anymore. I do not have a food processor so if anyone has a great recipe that doesn’t involve one that would be great.

Do I have to do anything prior to freezing store bought fresh fruit?

Saturday, May 28th, 2011

The fruits I have in mind on savoring are strawberries, blueberries, grapes (though never heard of that) and bananas. I just ordered a really nice food processor and would like to keep frozen fruit so that it:
1. It does not spoil by the time I use it (it goes fast) and can be expensive
2. Can have some healthy snacks during this hotter weather, other than ice cream and frozen novelties. Already frozen fruit gets very messy once it thaws out.

Thanks….

pour over my chips with melted cheese. They are DIVINE! I tried buying regular jar and squished them but not a drip came out. The food processor just makes them look like baby food. HELP! I looked online but didn’t find any answers. HELP!

What consistency should homemade almond butter be?

Sunday, May 15th, 2011

Amazingly enough my cheap Wal-mart food processor seems to be capable of making almond butter. I’m shocked I haven’t already burned out the motor. Anyway, right now it’s about the same consistency as the peanut butter on the bottom of the jar if you get Adam’s or some other natural peanut butter. Sort of dry and mostly spreadable, although still kind of crumbly. Will it get smoother or am I done? I’m letting the whole thing rest for a few minutes so the food processor can cool off.

New drink: Does it sound good?

Saturday, May 7th, 2011

1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted until liquid
Pinch of finely ground (sometimes called popcorn-style) salt
Godiva chocolate liqueur

In a food processor, combine the peanut butter and melted butter. Add the pinch of salt and process until mixture becomes thin (as if it could go through a straw). Taste and add more salt if needed.

In a martini glass, add a small amount of the mixture. Top the glass off with the liqueur and chill for an hour. Serve.

Veg pate' question?

Friday, May 6th, 2011

What is a machine that grounds a carrot into a tptally smooth paste. The consistency of peanut butter lets say. I know a regular food processor won’t do it. A blander wont without a lot of water added in. A meat grinder won’t get it that smooth. There must be a machine that does this. Anybody know what it is. Thanks.
I need to pate’ raw carrots and other veggies too but if it can do a carrot it can do anything.
And I would like to grind orange peelings as an experiment.
