Does it bother most vegetarians to eat food that touched the same equipment as meat?

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

I work in a restaurant with vegetarian options, but the cheese is sliced on our meat slicer and we use the same knives and stuff.
The meat is cooked when it’s cut; it’s not against code. We use the knives to cut assembled sandwiches- that not against code either, but might be against personal "code," which is what I’m asking about.

Vintage hand crank meat slicer and would like more information about it.?

Monday, March 28th, 2011

My son and I found a General "Vacu-Base" Model 168N Hand Crank Meat Slicer in a ditch. It is missing the sliding tray and it is quite rusty but we were researching it trying to find anything about it such as when it was made… you know, how old it is? But we can not find any other slicer just like it anywhere. Anybody able to help us? It seems to be very rare or discontinued. We were wondering if it could actually be worth anything? Thanks!

i have all kinds of stuff in my freezer like ground steak, ribs, roast, ect and i’ve narrowed it down to either making a roast in the oven with potatoes, vegetables ect because i have a meat slicer and can make awesome sandwiches with the leftovers, or i could do something in the crockpot like short ribs or pork roast.. idk any opinions on either option?

What's the best way to cut lettuce for a sub style sandwich at home?

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

I’ve tried using a cheese grater in the past, but it just came out all soggy. I don’t have a blender or a food processor or a meat slicer, and my skills with a carving knife stink. What’s the best way to cut lettuce for sandwich’s?
