Recipe for vegetarian meatballs/burgers etc?

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011

So, I’m looking for a fairly general recipe that I can use to make veggie burgers, meatballs, etc, etc. The one in my cook book calls for beans, onions, oats, chili powder, an egg, just things like that. ANy other ideas? Thanks!
Also, I’d prefer one I can make by hand, since all the ones in my cook book called for a food processor.

question for a chef?

Friday, April 1st, 2011

ok, I am about to make Fish Stew, and it says in the recipe to fine chop the onions and celery. should I use a knife, or could I use a food processor? Which would be better from a professional point of view or for more flavor?

In need of a tasty, healthy chicken salad recipe.?

Friday, February 18th, 2011

I love chicken salad, and in an attempt to start saving $$$ by spending a ton on lunch at work, I was going to start making chicken salad, but I have not clue how to make it. I know their is chicken, mayo, but how do you cook the chicken? I think my mom use to boil it, is this healthier? Also, do you need a food processor? Thanks. I think I have had it with grapes, apples in the past. Not a big fan of onions either. What is a healthy substitute for mayo?

Food Procesor?? HELP!?

Monday, January 17th, 2011

I want to buy a food processor, but I’m having my doubts. I will be using it for onions, peppers, garlic, tomatoes, carrots, etc. Will this appliance chopped things as neatly as the pictures of the box show. Sometimes recipes ask for onions or peppers in stripes not in little chunks, will I be able to do this. Everyone uses their food processors to make pesto and hummus and that kind of stuff, but the thing is I love to eat salads but I hate to chopped everything myself I’m kind of slow with the knife, and I like to cook my meats with onions and peppers and lots of stuff. So, will this appliance help me?? I don’t want a big pile of veggie dough. Thanks!
