I'm wanting to grind our own meats. Any tips?

Sunday, April 17th, 2011

I am wanting to grind our own beef, chicken, etc. I don’t have a food processor, but I do have a Ninja Prep. Could I use that to grind the meat? I do not want to invest a lot of money into this adventure. Also, any tips, methods, recipes, ratios, etc are welcome and much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

I need a few easy recipe ideas for someone who can't cook. Help!?

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

I would like plain recipes that have very few ingredients (but could be spiced up with peppers, etc.), don’t take forever to prepare, and don’t use any weird tools like food processors.

Also, if they can easily feed a lot of people that would be great.

What I have in mind are things like chicken with yellow rice and linguini with white clam sauce. Just standard stuff.

Thanks in advance if you can help!

How do you grind your own meats?

Monday, February 21st, 2011

I’m thinking about grinding our own meats (beef, chicken, pork, etc). What suggestions do you have for someone just starting out. I don’t want to invest a lot of money in this. I have a Ninja Master Prep, but not a traditional food processor. What cuts of beef would you suggest using? What ratios of cuts would you blend together for the beef? Any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Any Peanut Butter Grinders for Personal?(Non – Food Processors)?

Sunday, February 13th, 2011

Hi,

I am looking for a nut grinder that is for more personal use than commercial use. I am looking for a product that grinds the nuts rather than using a blade like most food processors. My experience making nut butters with processors have left a un smooth texture as to the ones you make at a whole food store. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiWTXNzI1iw& )(turn down volume) This video shows the consistency Im interested in. Again I know this is a commercial machine but was wondering if there is anyone that knows if you can get a personal sized that uses the same type grinding and produces the same texture. Thanks in advance.

WS
sorry. title should state Nut Grinders instead of just "peanut butter"

When I make cookies, the always turn out really big?

Friday, February 11th, 2011

When i mean big they stick together on the tray and make one big flat mess.
I try to put as little mixture as possible on the tray, how should i do it so they could be jsut the right size ?

Also another question.
Im making cookies tonight, the first step says
Place the butter, brown sugar, caster sugar, egg and vanilla in the bowl of a food processor and process until the mixture is creamy.

Do you have to melt the butter? Because I usually do, am i supposed to.

Thanks in advance

Does a Kitchenaid with a dough hook have enough guts to make pasta dough?

Friday, November 19th, 2010

I’ve always made pasta dough in my food processor, but it died on me a couple years ago. I have since used my pasta roller for fimo/sculpy clay. Can I use something to wash my pasta machine so it’s usable for food again? Can my Kitchenaid make pasta dough? Thanks in advance.
